COURSE 2 – PRACTICAL DATA ANALYSIS WITH SPSS
Descriptive statistics comprises collecting data, summarizing, and interpreting the results through numerical and graphical techniques. Inferential statistics on the other hand focuses on choosing and relating correct statistical technique to make estimates or test claims about the population from which the sample was drown. Typically, one component of assessment demands students to collect and analyze data to answer real-world problem of their choice.
At the end of this course, students would be able to apply correctly various statistical techniques which are both descriptive and inferential interpret in simple daily language the application and outcomes of statistical techniques; interpret SPSS output for various statistical analysis and recognize inappropriate use or misinterpretation of statistics by some people.
