Women in Data Science Cameroon: Empowering Girls and Women in Digital Technology and Data Science

Data science is one of the most innovative and impactful fields in the world today, but it also suffers from a significant gender gap. In Cameroon, women are underrepresented in data science careers, education, and leadership. This is a serious problem that hinders the potential of data science to solve social and economic challenges, as well as the empowerment of women to participate fully in society.

That’s why we created Women in Data Science Cameroon (WiDS-Cameroon), a non-profit organization that aims to inspire, educate, and support girls and women who are interested or involved in data science. We believe that by increasing the diversity and inclusion of women in data science, we can foster a more vibrant and

innovative data science community that benefits everyone.
